I love working with color and am inspired by nature. These images show where the two might meet: an exploration of intentional design synthesis.
Candlemaking
What began as a solution to the inability to find candles I wanted in my home led to an exploration into the possibilities of candlemaking as a medium. I went further and explored glass cutting to build custom lanterns, and made bases using found objects. As I continued, the forefront of this research was the idea of pushing the limits of my eye and creativity in an area that I was unfamiliar with.
I also went as far as performing market research and created a marketing brief which articulated an ideal persona and location for potentially selling unique candle pieces and lanterns. One day, I might enjoy creating custom pieces for real customers.
